Reviewer Top Pick!–NOR–SAVAGE HUNGER!

July 8, 2012 at 10:15 am (General) (, , , , , , , , )

Having a new cover is so exciting! Finishing the manuscript! Writing a new one! Editing the manuscript! The final, final read through! But the best is when readers can get their hands on the book. Then the real worry begins! Will readers like it??? Love it????

This is a preview of a review coming in Sept. It’s my first for SAVAGE HUNGER, and I was thrilled!

Night Owl Romance, first review preview!!! Coming Sept 24, 2012

SAVAGE HUNGER
by Terry Spear

Reviewer: Debra Taylor

Score: 5.00 / 5 – Reviewer Top Pick

This is an awesome new series from Terry Spear and a sizzling page turner. Terry Spear is wickedly talented when it comes to characterization. Her characters seem to take on a life of their own…. seeming to step right off the page. Or rather, to jump right out of my Kindle! LOL!!!

As with the wolves in her awesome “Heart of the Wolf” series, the Jaguar shifters take on the actual characteristics of the predators in the wild. Her vivid descriptions of the Amazon jungle pulled me right into the scene along with the characters. The chemistry between Connor & Kat was explosive and you get very sensual love scenes. I was hooked from the opening paragraph. The story kept me riveted throughout the entire book. This book is fast paced with nonstop action. Plus you get snappy & realistic dialogue between the three muskateers (Connor,Kat & Maya).

I am looking forward to reading about the extremely spunky Mayas’ search for her very own Jaguar mate. I recommend this book to any fan of the shifter genre. I enjoyed every minute of this story.

~~~~~
I hope you all love it, too! Right now, I’m off to work on Maya and the twins because she deserves to have fun also!!
Hope your Saturday is great! I overdid it in the heat yesterday and it wasn’t with any of these jaguar hunks either!
It’s amazing how he really blends into the ground, except for the eyes!
 Time for some kitty cat loving!
And this is what one female jaguar shifters wears under their clothes!
 Have a super wonderful Saturday!
Okay, what do you think? Isn’t he beautiful? And the cat and Kathleen and the jungle and…
Yum. One of my fans said her 80-year old sister would say, “Hmm-hmm-hmm, all that meat and no potatoes!”
Now, what do you think about meeting him in the jungle?
I’m also at Sizzling Hot Books for an interview and giveaways!!!
And I’m participating in a International Time Travel Day because it’s Albert Einstein’s birthday and he’s the originator of the idea of space and time bend.
Today I’m giving away a copy of A Ghost of a Chance at Love!
Lisa Welsh only wishes to leave a messy divorce behind for a couple of days stay in Salado, Texas but wakes to nightmares and a cowboy in her bed, and she has no earthly idea how he got there. But the situation gets worse when she learns she’s now living in 19th Century Salado. Even more worrisome is the tall dark stranger, and everyone else in town believes she’s some woman named Josephine Rogers who is supposed to be dead.Jack Stanton can’t believe the clerk gave him an occupied room at the Shady Villa Inn, but worse, he was ready to ravage the woman in that bed—until he realized his mistake. Now the woman he thinks is Josephine claims to be some other woman—and though he could never abide by Josephine’s fickle ways, this Lisa Welsh intrigues him like no other. Still, if she isn’t Josephine, he figures he best help her find her way back to where she really belongs no matter how much he wants to keep her with him.
Together, Lisa and Jack must solve the mysteries and face the troubles in their worlds or they will never be free to share the love that binds them across the ages.
So the question to win a copy of A Ghost of a Chance at Love  is: Would you take a chance to find romance and love in the old west? Or would you rather take the old west with you to contemporary times?
Good luck and have fun!
Top Pick Night Owl Romance for A Ghost of a Chance at Love!
December 8, 2011 at 8:27 am (General) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )
Today, I’m at Fresh Fiction! Talking about recipes. Come by and share your favorite recipe!
And Mary of Bitten by Books gave Heart of the Highland Wolf a 5 star…well, headstones (Bitten by Books, you know!) rating! Woohoo! I couldn’t have been more thrilled!
Julia Wildthorn is willing to do almost anything to get into Argent Castle, stronghold of the MacNeill clan, even hiding her identity and her career as a romance writer to masquerade as a personal assistant on a film crew. Getting into the castle proves more difficult that Julia had first imagined, especially since Laird Ian MacNeill is opposed to the film crew roaming about his property unsupervised, but she is determined to search the entire castle, if necessary, in order to locate the rosewood box that holds the key to her future.
Laird Ian MacNeill takes his responsibilities to his pack very seriously and is definitely regretting that he ever agreed to allow this madness of a film crew onto his property. Intent on protecting his clan and property from harm, he senses Julia’s lupus garou heritage and becomes suspicious when he discovers her in his bedchamber after learning she had broken into the castle through the secret tunnels. As Ian and Julia grow closer, the tangled histories of their families become clearer, and Ian agrees to help Julia in her search for the rosewood box. Even with interference from the Sutherland clan and the unwelcome presence of the film crew, Ian is determined to claim Julia as his mate and defend her honor.
Julia and Ian’s romance quickly developed, especially after Ian’s aunt delved into the family histories and legends and discovered the two were fated to be together. I enjoyed Ian’s alpha behavior and his protectiveness and liked that Julia was no longer a lone wolf after being absorbed into Ian’s pack. I really appreciated that the author allowed the storyline to develop without hammering the reader with innumerable wolf references and side comments. This was an interesting story that easily captured my attention, and as always, I look forward to reading more about this lupus garou pack.
A Ghost of a Chance at Love is romantic suspense at its best! This is only the second Terry Spear romance I’ve ever read, but I absolutely loved it! It’s the most unusual time-travel romance I’ve had the pleasure of reading, filled with adventure, mystery, intrigue, and heartwarming romance. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll become involved in the story and how much is going on at any given moment. I adored the characters and you’ll feel the romance right away. Even though it was against Jack’s better judgment to get involved with Lisa, he fell for her right away and wanted to protect her, cherish her, and make her his wife. They just needed to get beyond a few complications. You’re going to love the twists and turns this story takes and it will definitely instill the warm-and-fuzzy feelings any good romance will give you! I highly recommend A Ghost of a Chance at Love!
Red Roses for Authors–a lovely review from Anne Herries
Alicia Greiston is a bounty hunter that is determined to bring down a mob family. Because of her career choice she has made sure that she doesn’t have relationships with men for fear of them being killed because they are involved with her. All that changes when she meets Jake Silver. Alicia knows it is a very bad idea to get involved with him but she just can’t seem to help it.
Jake Silver took one look at Alicia and was determined to protect her. Luckily for her Jake is a lot more than he seems and knows how to protect himself and her from whatever threats might come their way. Jake’s instincts are telling him to protect Alicia but when they starting having very real passionate dreams together Jake knows that Alicia is more to him than he first realized and now he will show her how a wolf protects his mate.
With the passion that flairs between Alicia and Jake they are going to have to find a way to take down the bad guys and keep themselves safe while dealing with their attraction for each other. Alicia may not realize at first just how capably Jake is at taking care of them both but she is about to learn just what kind of man Jake truly is.
This is a wonderful continuation to a series that is sure to please reader that love werewolves. The premise of this series really makes it stand out in a genre that has a great many wonderful stories in it. The author has managed to write a series that stays fresh and will keep the reader interested and addicted to the series. This will bring back some characters that readers familiar with this series will recognize and get a chance to visit again. This is one worth reading.
Hope you all are planning a lovely weekend! I’ve got to WRITE this weekend!
Have a wonderful Friday!
Thanks so much to Rhonda Valverde who was interviewed by Woman’s World for mentioning my werewolf books!!!
DREAMING OF THE WOLF
by Terry Spear
Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
Sensuality: HOT
RT Rating
REVIEW: In the eighth in her Werewolf series, Spear gives us a love-at-first-sight romance with intense and almost immediate lovemaking that really works with her fascinating characters and exciting action-packed crime drama plot. A great fantasy twist and yet another way to interpret the legend of weres.
Sub pack leader Jake Sliver is in Breckenridge, Colo., to drop off of his photography at a gallery when he catches sight of a woman staking out two deadly criminal types. She more than intrigues him, she turns him on.
Alicia Greiston is a bounty hunter, only this hunt is personal. She’s after the mob men who had her mother killed. She’s also attracted the interest of a certain Jake Silver, who offers her his protection, which pleases her as she’s used to taking care of herself. She and Jake enter into a torrid affair which proves to be impossible to escape from, but they’re also on a crash course with disaster in the form of the mob. If they survive, will the feelings they have for each other survive too? (SOURCEBOOKS, Dec., 384 pp., $7.99)
A great review for Heart of the Highland Wolf! Over the Edge Reviews
HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WOLF had so many facets to it. The fact that Ian was poor and not the rich Laird added to this heart-rich story. The fact that he was disgruntled to have to rent his castle and property out nagged at this alpha males senses and sense-abilities. Ms. Spears did a beautiful job showing the closeness in the MacNeill clan. Every age showed how the whole clan…not just the laird ad his brothers…came together like one monumental family that knew they had to do what ever they need to to safe the family. In showing the difference in the MacNeill clan and Julia’s clan which consisted of her, her father and grandfather and their deep love for each other also solidified my deep appreciation for this series.
My favorite part of HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WOLF is fact appreciating and loving ones family was the main theme that ran through this incredibly endearing story. Ms. Spears showed it does not matter what makes-up your family–big or small, conventional or non-conventional- you love and honor the people who care about you.
I appreciate the fact and hope you enjoy HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WEREWOLF where Ms. Spear’s shares with readers a story that has well-drawn characters, a fascinating suspenseful story line that deftly meshed factual and fictional incidents with a fresh approach in Spear’s erotic werewolf world.–Christine
Woohoo, it’s Friday! I get off early today because of working 3 hours on the holiday, so it’s going to be a WONDERFUL Friday!
Have a super day, and remember, pucker up for Ian MacNeill’s kiss!!! :)
Any plans for the weekend?
